Peter Brill and David Debin are announcing that, after a rewarding five years dedicated to the Third Age Foundation, they have decided to return to their goal of promoting positive aging independently.
The Third Age Radio Show and some of the activities that the Third Age Foundation has run and supported will no longer be maintained. However, David and Peter will continue to share their Third Age knowledge, wisdom and experience by offering quarterly workshops through Santa Barbara City College Adult Education, giving speeches, running seminars and publishing articles.
It has been (and will continue to be) a satisfying experience, filled with Passion, Purpose and Joy! Thank you for your continued support.
Our Mission
The Third Age Foundation is dedicated to promoting positive views of aging, and helping Third Agers to become more fulfilled and valued while living longer and happier lives.
Our work with communications media, public interest groups, and corporations is directed toward changing the destructive Myths of Aging. Our Foundation programs for individuals and groups motivate people to learn to develop ever-increasing passion, purpose and joy in the aging process. This causes them to live longer and be happier. By marrying people’s legitimate need to be esteemed with greater understanding of what it takes to be happy, Third Agers find the energy to explore new careers, contribute to society, and create outlets for their spirituality, wisdom, experience and desire to give.
Because two truths stand out . . . what you believe is what you get and how you are treated by others matters. The myths of aging foster society’s belief that getting older goes hand in hand with being less important and valuable. We all need to be esteemed and we all want to be happy, healthy and live as long as possible.
