Third Age International and the Third Age Foundation are social entrepreneur organizations - our goal is to act for the public good by identifying and solving problems experienced by a huge sector of society, namely the 75,000,000 people in or about to be in their Third Age of life. These are our most valuable untapped resource because of their spirituality, wisdom, experience and their desire to give. Our society, however, currently values youth. This causes a huge segment of Third Agers to begin feeling devalued and disrespected because as they age. As a result, they tend to become uninvolved in the overall social effort and a drag on society. When they deprive the system of their active contribution, it places an untenable burden on the social structure.

The work of our two organizations is targeted not only towards immediate effects with individuals, but sweeping, long-term change with the entire demographic of the Third Age. In effecting this great social change, Third Age International and the Third Age Foundation primarily seek to generate social value rather than profits. Therefore, the Third Age Foundation is a federally approved 501(c) 3 non-profit organization.
