CHARLENE GARFINKLE,
Operations
holds a Bachelor's degree in English from the California State University, Northridge and graduate degrees in Art History from the University of California , Santa Barbara. She has taught classes at both the University and Santa Barbara City College, and, as an independent scholar of American art, has published many articles and essays, and presented papers at several venues, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York and the Gamble House, Pasadena .
In addition to her professional work as an art historian, she has been a board member of several non-profits (including local, council and district level PTAs), and continues to volunteer for the local Girl Scout council and for a national art historical organization. These volunteer efforts have been recognized with a number of awards
As Manager of Operations, Charlene brings her organizational and editorial skills to the Third Age Foundation, providing administrative support for a variety of projects.
She lives in Santa Barbara with her husband and daughter.
